Dutch OPI Lover

Dutch 'Ya Just Love OPI? is the name of this purple, tulip-base color of the Holland Collection by OPI. All I can do is answer with an excited 'Yes!'

Shopping Log - Part 3

Yes, here I am again with  another shopping log. I promise it's a small one this time around and that the next post will be an actual review instead of more new products.

Catrice: London's Weather Forecast, Hip Queens Wear Blue Jeans!, Browno Mars, Sing: Oh Champs-Elysée, Essence: Choose Me
The first two colors of Catrice are old colors that are being released again for this Spring/Summer, the other two are new colors. The Essence nail polish is an oldie but my local store never sold it until now.

Have a crazy Thursday!

Marni by H&M

Don't you just love this collection? I saw the long version of the commercial on tv yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised. I made a collage of my favorites. Gorgeous model too, btw.

This collection will be available on March 8 at H&M.

'til next time!

Shopping Log - Part 2

As Catrice and Essence are introducing their updated collections, so is OPI! As a Dutch nail polish lover my goal is to buy all colors of the Holland Collection but with limited cash, I have to spread it out a little. These are the ones I bought earlier this week, together with two Sephora polishes.

Sephora 84 Full Moon Party, 69 Midnight Crawl
OPI Green-wich Village, A Roll In The Hague, Dutch 'Ya Just Love OPI?, Gouda Gouda Two Shoes, I Don't Give A Rotterdam

For some reason I never noticed that awesome green OPI color, Green-wich Village. I love, love, love it and can't wait to try it out, just like the other ones. Be still, my nail polish-loving heart.

I feel... Wicked

I went to see the Dutch version of the well-known musical Wicked earlier this month and I was blown away. It's absolutely amazing! Reason enough for me to create a nail look inspired by Glinda's dress as worn in the picture below.

The look I created;

20120220-001

Silly me didn't realise I didn't have a light, baby blue color so I improvised a little and used a white polish as base color. I added a general glitter polish over half the nail, a blue glitter polish to get the blueish glitter and used another jelly based blue glitter polish on the lower part of my nails to get the blue look.

I hope you like the look and that it may inspire you to create one of your own :-)

Have a great week,

I Got The Blues

Every gal needs a good dark blue nailpolish in her stash so I picked up this one by Catrice; Blues Brother Vol II. Looking at the name, I assume there's been a previous edition of this little thing, but I'm not familiar with that one so I can't compare it.
