Everybody who dyes their nails all the time knows this problem; discoloration of your nails. Using a good base coat helps a lot to avoid this and it makes your nail manicure to last longer too. But as useful as a base coat is, I don't really want to pay big bucks for it. This HEMA base coat does what it should do for a nice price.
Price: < €3,00, I can't remember exactly
Content: 11ml
It works well with any brand, less chipping of your colored nail polish and... no discoloration. At all. The only bad news is that as far as I know they only sell in the Benelux. But should you ever be visiting, pick up a few of these bottles. It's the best budget base coat I've ever used and I've tried many.
See ya!

Because I didn't hurt my wallet bad enough just yet, I went to Sephora. They had the new OPI Nicki Minaj collection and I picked up Save Me. I also got a nail polish of the Sephora brand, no. 76 I love matte khaki.
Again, reviews will follow.

Discounts are bad for my wallet! Not for my nails though. Catrice will be renewing their collection soon so all products that are getting replaced are 50% off at my local store. There were three colors I wanted but didn't own yet, and I decided to get a back-up bottle of one of my favorite nude colors Mona Lisa Is Staring Back.
Next to that, they had another 25% off every second product and look at that, they have a new limited edition out... Enough products worth grabbing! Then I noticed the new trend edition by Essence and I liked three colors right away. But why leave those other two colors behind, right? :-) My local store also works with personalised discounts and I got to buy four bottles of the Essence Colour & Go collection at a reduced price and voila, this is what I end up with;

Broken Dawn
It's not a surprise that the name of this nail polish 'The Dawn Is Broken' was inspired by the title of a Twilight book as it was part of the Essence Vampire's Love trend edition.

Nail polish and shoes... my two addictions. I was browsing the H&M (Yes, I'm a budget girl) Spring 2012 catalogue the other day and I couldn't resist ordering. Apart from some basics for my wardrobe, I simply had to get these shoes and cute accessories.
I'm definitely looking forward to the sunshine now, so I can start wearing these lovelies.
